The MELO Bubble Ring, inspired by fidget toys, is a smart ring designed to detect and alleviate anxiety discreetly through tactile interaction. Paired with the MELO app, it tracks emotional well-being using characters that represent five mood states. Combining real-time data, mood tracking, and personalized activity recommendations, the ring and app foster mindfulness in a playful, user-friendly format, guiding users toward a deeper understanding of their mental well-being.

The MELO Bubble Ring is our innovative response to the growing need for accessible and effective stress management tools. This wearable device combines a tactile fidget top with advanced sensors, enabling it to track emotional states in real-time by monitoring heart rate variability (HRV) and user interactions like pressing or pinching. Paired with the MELO app, it provides users with personalized insights, guided mindfulness activities, and detailed progress tracking to support their journey toward emotional well-being.
We designed the MELO Bubble Ring to solve a critical problem: the lack of discreet, practical tools for managing anxiety in daily life. Many existing solutions are either invasive, stigmatized, or impractical for everyday use. Our device offers a seamless and non-intrusive experience, allowing users to engage with it discreetly at work, school, or home. By integrating physical stress relief with data-driven feedback, the ring fosters greater self-awareness and empowers users to take proactive steps in managing their mental health.
Sustainability is also central to our design. The ring features a modular system that allows users to replace components like the fidget top, reducing waste and extending its lifespan. Crafted from eco-friendly materials such as medical-grade silicone and titanium, it aligns with circular economy principles while maintaining comfort and durability.
